Idza Luhumyo is a Kenyan writer.

Her work has been awarded the Margaret Busby New Daughters of Africa Award (2020), the Short Story Day Africa Prize (2021), and the Caine Prize for African Writing (2022).

Her work has been supported by fellowships and residencies from Foundation House (2023), the Civitella Ranieri Foundation (2025), Torch Retreat (2025), and the Folger Institute (2026).

She is represented by Emma Shercliff of Laxfield Literary Associates.
